Day 2 Tad Lo - Wat Phou Champasak (B/L)
Wake up to see the elephants bathing in the cool waterfall and after breakfast we check out from the lodge continue on your circuit of the plateau stopping at the village of Lao Ngam, home of the Katu people, here they have a strong tradition of silk weaving, and have many beautiful garments on display and for sale made by the local villagers. It's now time to head back to Pakse but not before seeing one last waterfall. Tad Paxuam a distinctive circular shaped waterfall flowing into a deep pool that is featured on many postcards of Laos. After lunch we continuing head out towards Champasak to visit the fascinating pre-Angkorian ruins of Wat Phou, one of Southeast Asia's most dramatically situated temples. Wat Phou is one of the Lao World Heritage sites recognized by UNESCO in 2001, this wonderful archaeological site of Khmer civilization dates back to the 5th century, predating the famous Angkor Wat in Cambodia, after visiting Wat Phou return to Champasak where you will spend the night.
