Upon reaching the river, we take a small long tail motortaxi downstream on the Nam Khan River, passing stunning soft green mountains and observing the local activities at various small villages on our way. En route we stop at Tad Sae, a large beautiful waterfall which is cascaded in the forest with a cool natural swimming pool, a refreshing break. After lunch, we continue our boat trip downstream to retrace the tomb of the French explorer Henri Mouhot, who stumbled across Angkor Wat in 1860, but succumbed to a malaria attack in Luang Prabang on 10th November in following year. Your bike will be ready at the local pier near Ban Phanom for our journey back to Luang Prabang. We take a alternative route back to Luang Prabang, riding through and stopping over at the well-known weaving village of Tai Lue, who used to make silk weaving textiles for the former Lao royal family. We then ride to Luang Prabang by the late evening, to enjoy a short guided cycling tour in Luang Prabang before sunset.

Day 8 Luang Prabang - Siem Reap
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Siem Reap, departing Luang Prabang at 11:55am. On Arrival in Siem Reap transfer to your hotel.
Day 9 Siem Reap
Visit Banteay Srei Temple - seemingly Miniature In Comparison To the other Angkor Temples, Banteay Srei is considered to be the jewel of classical Khmer art. Built in pink sandstone, the walls are covered in exquisitely preserved carvings of unusual delicacy. Because of its small size, fairy-like atmosphere and extraordinary examples of Khmer sculpture, this temple is often a favourite with visitors. Visit Preah Khan - a temple built by King Jayavarman VII with towered enclosures and shoulder-hugging corridors in a jungle setting. Preah Khan covers a very large area but the temple itself is enclosed within a rectangular wall of around 700 by 800 meters. Visit Angkor Wat - The largest, best preserved, and most religiously significant of the Angkor temples, Angkor impresses visitors both by its sheer scale and beautifully proportioned layout, as well as the delicate artistry of its carvings. To approach the temple, first cross the vast moat, continuing along a broad causeway lined with naga balustrades. As you enter the main building, ascend through a series of galleries and courtyard before reaching the central sanctuary, which offers beautiful views back over the causeway and across the surrounding countryside. On the way, stop to enjoy the intricate stone carvings that adorn nearly every surface, with some 1,700 Apsaras, or celestial dancers, sculpted into the walls. Along the outer gallery walls run the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which narrates stories from Hindu mythology, including the famous Churning of the Ocean of Milk. Finally visit Phnom Bakheng - a hill that provides one of the best views of Angkor Wat
Day 10 Siem Reap
Free at leisure
Day 11 Siem Reap
Located some 16km from Siem Reap the village of Komong Phhluk is an absolute must see. Built on the flood plane of the Tonle Sap the houses here tower on stilts as high as 10 meters. In wet season the stilts are hidden and water laps at the floor boards. The flooded mangrove forests are an incredible sight and a wonderful place to tour by boat. This is one of our favourite places in Siem Reap. Visit a local market and travel by boat catching some great views on the way to Komong Phhluk. Once at the village you have an incredible chance to explore this amazing place and understand how the local people survive around this amazing lake, this is a less touristic place making it a special place to visit.
